This project was an extension of the Old Town Algonquin plan and included similar designs, material and colors used on the beautiful features installed on Main Street.
The Old Town Prairie Trail is now open! We hope you explore the Trail and take advantage of all the new amenities, including a repaved trail, new pedestrian bridge, lighting, bicycle repair station, water fountains, bicycle racks, picnic tables and benches, a pergola and new trail sign.
Thank you for your patience and cooperation throughout this project! |
After months of planning and preparation, the contractor delivered and installed the prefabricated pedestrian bridge. Over the course of about an hour, a crane lifted the bridge structure into place. This video footage captures the highlights of this process both from the air and from the ground perspectives.
